Viewing the added custom field
Begin at the main contacts list screen.
To view the custom field in the application, click on Manage page layouts under Page Layouts section, in the Admin page. The page Layouts Page
The Page layouts page appears. To add the new custom field in the Opportunity list page,
click the Opportunity default layout.
Page layout Fields
The new custom field Product Class is seen in the available data items box on the left.
To make it appear in the Shown data items box, simply click the >arrow found between
the two boxes.
Positioning The Custom Field
Now that the custom field is in the shown data items box, it has to be positioned.
This can be achieved by highlighting the custom field and clicking the Up button should
you want the field to move up on the page or the Dn(down) button to move it down the page.
These buttons are found the right of the Shown data items box.
Save Layout
Click Save to save the changes in the page layout.
Viewing The Custom field
The custom field Product class now shows up on the Opportunity List page.

Similarly, the new custom field can be added to the Add/Edit Opportunity page.
Click Add/Edit Default layout on the Page layouts page.
Preview Option
Select the position where you would like it to appear on the page. The position selected
is next to the Product field in this case. Click the Preview button to get the actual
look & feel on the page.

The preview pop up shows where the new field will actually appear on the add/edit page.
Saving the layout
Click Save to save the page layout.
Viewing The Custom Field
The new custom field shows up in the Add opportunity page next to Product as positioned.
Notice the field with its pick list values.
The custom field under filters
The new custom field behaves just like a built in field and appears in reports and filters.
To view the custom field under filters, just click on filters found under My sfCRM.
The Manage Filters Page
The manage filters page appears. To view the new field click on any Opportunity filter.

Click on the Opportunity Entity on the left and open it.The new custom field appears and
can be selected while creating a filter.
