Double-click on the sfcrm installable file (usually called sfcrmInstall.exe).

The first splash screen appears. Click the 'next' button.

Read the license agreement and ensure that you agree with it. If you do, click the I agree button.

This screen lets you choose the components to install, and set up the start menu shortcuts. You can usually simply click 'next' here.

The installer chooses to install sfCRM in the Program files area. You can change this if you desire.

This is an intermediate step in the installation process.

The installer finishes its task. At this point, you can click the Start menu...

... and you will see the menu items for the installed server. Click the Server manager menu item to start up the server.

The server displays a red icon in your system tray (usually at the bottom right corner of your screen) indicating that it is starting up.

When the red icon turns blue, the application is ready for use. You can use your browser to access the URL http://localhost:81 to use the application.
