Screen shot tour: Setting the layout of your menu
Menu layout of entities
Move the mouse to the "My sfCRM" menu (no need to click there). A dropdown menu
appears. Choose the "Menu Layout" option.
The set menu preferences page
The Set menu preferences page appears. The positions of all the entities as they appear in
the main entities bar is seen here. The My sfCRM item always appears at position
1. The number found in the box next to each item indicates the relative order of that item
in the menu bar, with ties broken in favor of alphabetical order. For example, this screen
shows that Tools has the largest number (16) associated with it, so it will be the
rightmost tab at the top. Also, Opportunities and Products both have the number 4
associated with them, so they will appear in alphabetical order (Opportunities, then Products).
Filter positions
Similar reasoning applies to sub-menu items. The exact numbers you choose don't matter, it
is only their relatve order that matters. In this example, My accounts will be the topmost
submenu item in the Accounts menu.
Entity positions
Notice the box next to Campaigns has "Not Shown" next to it. This means that though there
is an entity called Campaigns, it is not shown in the main entities menu bar.
Changing menu positions
Save the changes.
Confirmation
A dialog box appears, informing that changes will take effect on your next login. Click on
OK and log out.
View change
Login again and note that the changes are in effect. The "Tools" menu item, in particular
is now the last item in the menu bar.
