The Admin Page
Click on Manage Page Layouts found under the Page Layouts in the Admin page.
Page Layouts page
The Page Layouts list for all the Entities appears. Click on the Default layout on the Contact list page,
as that is where we are looking to add the Contact Detail.
Note: The Used by column found here informs us the user types using the Default layout,
for example this layout is also used by Executive, External, ISR, Internal and a Salesperson.
Any changes made to the Default layout will be seen by all user types using this layout.
Edit Default Layout Page
The Edit page layout appears. In the Shown data items box we only fields associated with Contacts.
To add the contact detail list, highlight Contact in the Available data items box and click
the > button to move it to the Shown data items box. All fields available with Contact will
also be moved.
Select fields & Save
Select the fields you want to view in the Contact details list and click Save.
Note: Fields can be moved between the two data items with the buttons, found between the two boxes.
The New View
The Contacts List page now has the Contact detail view as well. All the selected fields show
up under it. The values seen in the contact detail are associated with the individual
highlighted record in the top list view.
Buttons
Once the contact detail is added to the Contacts list page, the deactivate, edit, add, clone
and sharing buttons also show up automatically. These buttons are relevant to an individual record.
Additional Add ons
Child tabs related to the parent highlighted Contact can be added to this layout. To add child tabs
click on Manage Page layouts in the Admin page.
Default Layout
The Page layouts page appears. Click on the Default layout of the Contact list.
The Accounts Child tab
We are back to the Edit page layout page. To have Accounts child tab as a child tab in the page
layout, click on the Account tab from the available data items and move it to the Shown data items
box. Select the required fields.
The Opportunities Child Tab
To have Opportunities as a child tab in the page layout, click on the Opportunities tab from
the available data items and move it to the Shown data items box. Select the required fields.
The Documents Child Tab
To have Documents as a child tab in the page layout, click on the Documents tab from the available
data items and move it to the Shown data items box. Select the required fields.
The Notes Child Tab
To have Notes as a child tab in the page layout, click on the Notes tab from the available
data items and move it to the Shown data items box. Select the required fields.
Overall View
The child tabs can be viewed as tabs or panes. To view it as panes, simply click the radio button
next to panes. Now that we have chosen our child tabs and the overall view click Save.
Viewing the new page layout
The Contacts list page now has the Contact details and the chosen child tabs in a pane view.
